Sinopsis: Each year about 15 million little girls marry in the world. Some of them are only 8 or 9 years old. Some of the reasons of this destructive inhuman phenomenon are poverty, social penury, adherence to ethnic customs, and domination of religious beliefs. What such children experience in these marriages are sexual truncation, violation, household violence, missing the future opportunities, poverty, illiteracy, irrecoverable traumas, and instability. According to 1385 census report in Iran, there are 800000 married children in Iran. Unfortunately, this number has increased 45 percent until 1389. In Iran, as little girls before 13 can marry legally depending on their parents’ view and the court’s opinion the parents are allowed to marry their children. This may cause dealing the children (especially the little girls) as merchandise because of poverty. However, Iran is a member of children rights convention that has determined 18 years old as the minimum legal age for marriage.”

My work of art arises as a critical reaction faced with social injustice. I perceive that the humanity is submitted to a system which is imposed and whose unique exit is death. But the death, which can be emotional, social or physical comes smoother by the romanticism by the beauty of the context or by the religious symbology. All this reduces the affliction produced by death and gives meaning to the final composition showing feelings as pain, guilt or loneless. My life, my experiences and my close acquaintenance´s ones are the source of my inspiration. I try to report every social thing that I consider it can be improved.

I look for a lack of a defined time and space in order to obtain the most generalisation as possible and so the clothes and the figures are as simple as i can represent them. These figures don´t have any decorative element and their models are always my sister for women and me for men just to insist specially in the ideas.

Synopsis: Ice works not only for drinks.

Nonsexual object used in sexual act – as when the egg element is appropriated in Georges Bataille’s Story of the Eye : the egg itself isn’t something erotic, as well as the ice, but can become – as probably everything.

Video divided in 2 parts: one in black & white, 3x speed; another in color, normal speed. Only 2 minutes (contains 1 orgasm) about 25 minutes original, random and deleted (containing 2 or 3 orgasms) video recordings in the same night, always with ice. Done in 1 night.

Try – almost draft – test and “failure” of progressive masturbation video idea, in which was planned to explicit the ice melting, before: solid, and in the end, water – or nothing. Physical-chemical-sexual experiment. The goal was the total melting coinciding with the orgasm, with veiled reference/connection to Story of The Eye’s part where Simone puts raw bull testicles within her intimacy while one horn plungs into the right eye and through the head of bullfighter Granero; the young girl’s spasm coincides with the arena terror. This scene is, coincidentally, in Madrid.
