Synopsis: Ash columns that insist on standing. A bleak area and a woman’s useless efforts to not fall apart.
Action is the only way she has to break the husk of impotence, trying to restore time in pillars of the past. As a result, her energy gets dispersed and condensed again, into a poetry that no one can hear and no one can see.
Bio: Glòria Ros (Spain, 1986) begun her studies at the Professional Dance Conservatory in Barcelona (Institut del Teatre) when she was fifteen, in the ballet department. Right after her graduation, she danced for one year at a pre-professional dance company in France, the Cannes Jeune Ballet. She was twenty when she got engaged with Introdans Ensemble voor de Jeugd. For three years, she toured in Holland and internationally with pieces from Jiri Kylian, William Forsythe, Inbal Pinto, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui,… among others.
After that, she decided to continue her career as a freelance, working with David Middendorp, Jesus de Vega, Arthur Rosenfeld, Arno Schuitemaker and visual artist Brendan Fernandes.
In collaboration with Daniela Cruz, she choreographed and performed ”Tip ping Point”, which was selected for Cortoindanza, T.Off Festival in Sardinia.
She is currently creating a solo for herself, together with choreographer Emilie Birraux. The videodance piece “0RB1T”, result of her collaboration with the videographer Moises Moricoli, was awarded the first prize at the Shortcuts – Experimental Dance Film Festival.
