Sinopsis: The area in which Greg experiments is where the boundaries of photography have shifted in transition to digital media. ‘The Grounding’ is a work that explores going beyond the surface of both the image and sound. Things come apart, break up and merge into one final piece. The work brings together photography, video footage, audio field recordings and synthesized sounds. The editing process has evolved to the point of getting lost within both audio and visual experimentation. Something similar to the effect alpha waves have in detaching the listener from their immediate environment.
