Sinopsis: A mathematical play on one repeated movement. It imparts a sense of possibilities: that something simple can produce complex and unexpected patterns. As with an atom, the variety of possibilities from a base movement is potentially infinite.

Bio: Born in 1977 in Bordeaux, Simon Quéheillard studied at the School of Fine Arts in Bordeaux where he participated in the writing workshop of the poet and writer Emmanuel Hocquard, which greatly influenced his work. Currently, he lives and works in Paris. In 2005, he participated in the exhibition « L’oeil du touriste » (‘The tourist’s eye’) (curator Jeanne Truong) at the Frédéric Giroux gallery. His first solo exhibition was in 2006 in the same gallery. Titled « L’image dans le papier » (‘The image in paper’), the exhibition could be understood as the preview of the book of the same name that he published two years later, in June 2008, edited by MIX. The book is the fruit of his encounter with the philosopher Fabien Vallos, director of MIX. Since 2010, Simon Quéheillard has collaborated closely with the Espace Khiasma in Les Lilas, directed by Olivier Marboeuf, in an ongoing process of production and presentation of his films.
