DESCRIPCIÓN: Sex as a mutual creative gesture. In “Action Painting No 1″, she responds to his movements by scratching his back and leaving blood marks. In “Action Painting No. 2″, he drips candle wax on her back during the sexual act. Both performances result in abstract paintings on each of the artists’ bodies.

ABOUT THE ARTIST (Krefer & Turca, co-directors of “Action Painting No. 1 / No. 2″)
Krefer (1987) is a filmmaker and visual artist. His works have been presented at the Transcultures/Videoformes, Loop Barcelona, Instants Vidéo, Vivo arte.mov, Rio de Janeiro International Short Film Festival and the “Translucent” solo exhibition at the Oscar Niemeyer Museum. He curated the “Multiolhares” experimental & video art section at the Olhar de Cinema – Curitiba International Film Festival. Turca (1989) is a production designer and art assistant who works for feature films and video art pieces. The “Action Painting” series is her debut as a director, and received the Best Experimental Video award at the FICBIC – International Film Festival of Curitiba Art Biennial, as well as an honorable mention of the jury at the La Fête du Slip – Gender & Sexuality Festival.
